What We Have To Offer:

With the presence of two creative college communities and a rich Victorian-era history, Williamsport has long been a cultural hub of the Northern Tier. In the middle of it all, downtown had developed around Third, Fourth, Market, and Pine streets with a thriving assemblage of local eateries, goldsmiths, boutique shops, public artworks, antique and design stores, theaters, libraries, galleries, museums, and historic structures. Whether you are a hometown local or a visitor passing through, you’ll find plenty of ways to enjoy your evening in Williamsport on the first Friday of each month and throughout the year.

What We Have To Gain:

First Friday brings the community together to support these local businesses and the cultural economy they are a part of. The monthly festival provides a regular venue for performers and artists to exhibit and sell their works, while our nominal vendor fees go back to support the efforts of the committee and Lycoming Arts to strengthen public arts in the community. For locals, we continue to build a sense of hometown pride and community collaboration, and for visitors, we support the image of Williamsport as a cultural destination in Central Pennsylvania.
